An Interlude

Today’s Image: A Jewel Sea.

Time for the blog this past couple of weeks seemed to slip away like water from a banana leaf. Abuelo had a week in Jerez, I had a Wednesday group to lead – and have just completed the October leg of the Tax Return Stakes. ‘Nuff said.

Talking of water . . .why so many images of the stuff?

I have always been fascinated by the play of light and shadow, and water is a natural artist with an ever-changing canvas. All I have to do is strive to catch the moments.

I may cut images down for web loading, but there is no photo-shopping to adjust colour or light contrasts. Ever.

**The exciting family news is that Londi, my niece in Colorado, has just given birth to a son. The spanish phrase used is ‘dar a luz’ – to give light. So hugs to Brian and Londi for having given light to Grayson Paul Buckner.

If he looks back on this blog, he will see that he is the eighth generation down from John Broadbent (John 01). We’re talking more than 250 years of family history here, a quarter of a millennium of family flow.
